Kinfolk
The sisters and brothers of the Garou have not been untouched by the War. There has always been a mixed view on the Kinfolk of the Nation. Some were protected as precious jewels, while others had been mistreated by their Garou relations. Kinfolk have been seen as breeding mares, tools for the Garou to use in the mortal world, and often overlooked on the grand scale of things. Others have become famous leaders or infamous enemies. Kinfolk have always had an impact on the Garou Nation but nothing could have prepared them or their Garou relations for the sudden and overwhelming aftereffects of the Battle of the Umbra.Kinfolk are still all of the above and yet they are much more. Whispers haunt their dreams and waking hours. Emotions tug at their soul, connecting them to the land, the Mother and the Garou. Their instincts and knowledge have expanded beyond the mortal realm. They have became a greater piece in the reality of the War and an even greater necessity to the survival of the Garou Nation. Where once it was rare for a Kinfolk to feel a part of the Garou's world, now they are in the thick of it. There are some theories that are debated about the roles of the kinfolk in this modern age. But there seems to be a universal agreement that kinfolk should have been, and now have a greater role in Gaia's scheme and to the Garou's and her own survival.
Rare was the kinfolk that had the ability to use Gifts in a similar manner to the Garou. Now kinfolk all across the world can be found with these unique capabilities. Their gifts differ in nature to the Garou. Some are able to lay their hands on the earth and heal its very soil, purifying places that have been touched by the Wyrms blood, and others can lay their hands on a fallen soldier and heal the most tainted of wounds. Its an incredible gift and those kinfolk that are blessed with Gaia's touch are sought after and protected. But that's not to say that is all that kinfolk are capable of, these are just the extraordinary few.
Kinfolk players have the opportunity to have Gifts as an option, please check the Kinfolk character creation rules for the available options. Players are asked to keep in mind that kinfolk with Gifts will have some responsibility in game and expected to behave accordingly.
